I developed a cutting-edge spatial audio experience app for Aural Mayhem, a sound engineering studio specializing in immersive audio technology. The app merges augmented reality (AR) with advanced spatial audio processing, creating a dynamic and interactive soundscape for users.

My Contributions

• Spatial Audio & AR Integration:

  • Integrated FMOD and Wwise to enable precise spatial audio rendering.

  • Utilized Google ARCore XR Plugin to implement augmented reality features, allowing the audio experience to adapt to the user’s environment in real time.

• Custom Editor Tools:

  • Designed Unity Editor extensions for sound designers to easily fine-tune spatial audio parameters.

  • Built a modular workflow toolset, improving efficiency and iteration speed for designers and developers.

• Optimization & Scalability:

  • Implemented Addressables for efficient asset streaming and memory management.

  • Managed deployment and downloading of Addressables assets to and from AWS, ensuring a smooth content pipeline.

  • Established a CDN on AWS for efficient delivery of content, ensuring fast, scalable access to audio assets globally.

• Version Control & Deployment:

  • Managed Perforce version control, ensuring seamless team collaboration and structured project management.

  • Deployed the app on AWS, handling cloud-based services for scalability and performance.

• App Robustness & Performance:

  • Developed a high-performance application architecture capable of handling complex 3D spatial audio experiences without performance bottlenecks.
