Overview
Word Zenith™ is a word-puzzle game blending crossword depth with word search flow. Built for a broad casual audience, it features thousands of handcrafted levels, daily challenges, and a calming, zen-inspired presentation. Available on the Google Play Store and Apple App store, it balances accessibility, challenge, and clean monetization.
My Contributions
Development:
Directed development of plug-and-play modules (quests, notifications, analytics, monetization) reused across multiple projects.
Shipped multiple features to live apps while maintaining stable release cycles.
Monetization & Live Ops:
Implemented ad-based monetization (rewarded hints, paced interstitials, optional banners) with mediation tuning (waterfalls/bidding, eCPM floors, frequency capping).
Built IAP flows (e.g., remove-ads, coin/hint packs, starter bundles), including receipt handling, pricing tiers, and fallback states.
Integrated consent/CMP and privacy-safe toggles; exposed placements and paywalls to Remote Config for rapid iteration without new builds.
Data & Strategy:
Introduced an A/B testing architecture and drove data-informed decisions, improving retention by ~12%.
Ran experiments on ad pacing, paywall copy, and bundle pricing to optimise ARPDAU without hurting engagement.
Optimization Expertise:
Reduced APK size by ~20 MB and load times by ~30% through asset, build, and initialization optimizations.
Team Collaboration:
Conducted code reviews and mentoring, improving team delivery efficiency by ~20%.
Unique Features
Modular architecture enabling fast experimentation across features, monetization, and live ops.
A player-first monetization model—reward-leaning and respectfully paced—to preserve the game’s zen feel while sustaining revenue.
Data-driven iteration loop (experimentation → rollout → measurement) that kept engagement healthy post-launch.
